Professional focus

My work centres on a single question: how do we know that what an intelligence system tells us is true? That question runs through threat intelligence collection, the design of analytical pipelines, and — more recently — the use of language models as analytical instruments rather than as oracles.

In practice this means building systems where provenance is preserved end to end, where a measurement reports what it did not observe alongside what it did, and where “unverifiable” is a distinct state from “verified good”.

How I work

• Evidence before assertion. A claim without a traceable source is a hypothesis, not a finding.
• Measure what the instrument misses. A tool that cannot report its own blind spots cannot be trusted at scale.
• Distinguish “unknown” from “clear”. Silence and success must never look the same.
• Prove the control fires. A gate never seen to go red is indistinguishable from one that does not work.
